El Dorado County Free Tax Prep Appointments

Appointments are required at all free tax preparation sites on the Western Slope. There are no appointments necessary at South Lake Tahoe.

Call the appointment line listed for the site of your choice and leave a voicemail. The scheduler will call you back to make an appointment.

There is a $66,000 income limit for the Placerville Senior Center VITA site. AARP Tax-Aide sites have no income or age limitations.

As required by the IRS, we use IRS Form 13614-C Intake Interview - Quality Review Sheet to gather basic information for your tax return and provide us with an outline of your income, deductions, and tax credits that you may qualify for. It does take some time to complete this form. We highly recommend that you download the form and complete it prior to your appointment. The AARP Tax-Aide sites collect addtional information to screen for AARP Senior Programs. If you have an appointment at an AARP Tax-Aide site, please download the AARP intake booklet.
